L’ Appuntamento di Daniele Sartori.
Il corto rappresenta una voce originale ed interessante nella rosa dei cortometraggi in concorso. Il regista ha diretto con padronanza i bravissimi attori, e ci ha presentato una storia che, muovendosi in un ambito noir ricco di suspense, ha offerto una possibilità di riflessione allo spettatore. Infatti, realizza una messinscena che, pur lontana dalla pratica effettiva della psicoanalisi, ci svela come il vero oggetto del desiderio del protagonista non è quello che lui consapevolmente crede, ma quello che emerge dal suo inconscio. Questo film è apprezzabile anche perché, illustrando il problema del riconoscimento effettivo del proprioo desiderio, si inscrive appieno nel questioning, ambito cui il festival Omovies ha da sempre riservato un notevole spazio e che, allargandone i confini, lo ha distinto dagli altri festival di cinema gay.

Un documentario fondamentale perché affronta due problemi attuali e ancora irrisolti come l’immigrazione e l’accettazione dell’omosessualità in un paese come la Nigeria dove sia ancora legati al concetto arcaico della sessualità. Dal racconto particolare di un ragazzo africano, la riflessione si può estendere all’universale poiché questo problema riguarda tutto il monde. Da un punto di vista visivo, le scene sostengono la narrazione con immagine simboliche come può essere quella delle rotaie del treno che rappresentano il cammino del protagonista o questa piscina vuota usata come se fosse una discarica, simbolo dei detratti del’animo umano che ha subito tanto dolore.
