Sinossi:
Subito dopo aver sposato Maria, Ciro scopre che sua moglie potrebbe essere stata infedele durante il suo addio al nubilato. Ciro inizia a mettere in discussione le sue scelte di vita e anche la sua identità. Ma quando Maria si presenta nel cuore della notte, qualcun altro si nasconde nella camera di Ciro…
“Il film analizza l’esperienza soggettiva di Ciro, un giovane che affronta la caduta di una forte convinzione relazionale – una caduta a cui non sa come reagire, tanto è bloccato in un limbo, rappresentato dal suo appartamento. Un appartamento buio e vuoto, illuminato in modo surreale, bloccato come il suo proprietario, pieno di scatole piene di vecchie cose casuali: di nuovo specchio dell’umore di Ciro, bloccato tra passato e presente, bisognoso di risposte ma anche spaventato di farsi domande ad alta voce. La caduta delle credenze di Ciro è solo il frutto malato di una delle tante convenzioni imposte dall’immaginario collettivo. La società spesso si erge come giudice morale e poi si trasforma sottilmente in un boia che lentamente uccide con la stessa arma usata per sedurre. Ad esempio, lo fa con Maria che, piegata ai dettami della cultura di massa, si lascia trasportare durante il suo addio al nubilato, di cui si pentirà amaramente. Lo fa con Fabrizio che, colpito dal flusso di coscienza di Ciro, non riesce a separare le sue convinzioni sull’amico dalla giusta intimità vissuta e dalle parole che professa. E lo fa con Ciro che, dopo essersi lasciato andare con l’amico di una vita, torna alla dura realtà a causa dell’imboscata di Maria.
Il mio intento non era quello di giudicare i personaggi e le motivazioni che li spingevano ad agire come fanno; al contrario, voglio che lo spettatore si interroghi sull’amore: tutti i personaggi si spogliano letteralmente esprimendo la forza traboccante della loro vulnerabilità. E, tuttavia, tutti nascondono qualcosa: una gravidanza, un amante, una sensazione. La cosa più difficile nel perseguire questo obiettivo è stato senza dubbio l’atto di “svestire” Ciro dall’etichetta carattere colpevole, guidando l’attenzione lontano dalla tossicità dei suoi rapporti, ma concentrandosi sulla purezza grezza dei suoi dubbi.
Gli esseri umani sono fallibili e fallaci: dietro ogni azione c’è una ragione, dietro ogni segreto e ogni paura c’è una storia… che merita di essere esplorato.”

Nato il 21 luglio 1994 e cresciuto a Napoli, tra i capolavori di Burton, Spielberg e Tarantino, ha studiato “Cinema, Fotografia e Televisione” all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli. Crescendo approfondisce gli studi cinematografici, rimanendo affascinato dalla poetica di Refn e Kevin Smith, per poi iniziare ad esercitarsi su set cinematografici nazionali e internazionali. Come regista, oltre a “Un bacio di troppo”, ha lavorato ai seguenti cortometraggi: – The Magic Crown, disponibile in tutto il mondo su Indieflix e AppleTV; – Film d’amore e di verità, disponibile su WeShort; – Un cuore per un cuore, realizzato nell’ambito del Rome 48h Film Project; – Una storia oscura, in arrivo a maggio 2023. Synopsis:
Soon after marrying Maria, Ciro discovers that his wife may have been unfaithful during her hen party. Ciro begins to question his life choices and even his identity. But when Maria shows up in the middle of the night, someone else is hiding in Ciro’s room…
“The film analyzes the subjective experience of Ciro, a young man who faces the fall of a strong relational conviction – a fall to which he doesn’t know how to react, he is so stuck in limbo, represented by his apartment. A dark and empty apartment, lit in a surreal way, stuck like its owner, full of boxes full of random old things: again a mirror of Ciro’s mood, stuck between past and present, needing answers but also afraid to ask himself questions aloud. The fall of Ciro’s beliefs is only the sick fruit of one of the many conventions imposed by the collective imagination. Society often sets itself up as a moral judge and then subtly transforms itself into an executioner that slowly kills with the same weapon used to seduce. For example, he does it with Maria who, bent to the dictates of mass culture, lets herself be carried away during her hen party, which she will bitterly regret. He does it with Fabrizio who, struck by Ciro’s flow of consciousness, is unable to separate his beliefs about his friend from the right intimacy experienced and the words he professes. And he does it with Ciro who, after letting himself go with his lifelong friend, returns to harsh reality due to Maria’s ambush.
My intent was not to judge the characters and their motivations for acting as they do; on the contrary, I want the viewer to question themselves about love: all the characters literally undress, expressing the overflowing strength of their vulnerability. And yet, everyone is hiding something: a pregnancy, a lover, a sensation. The most difficult thing in pursuing this objective was undoubtedly the act of “undressing” Ciro from the label of guilty character, guiding attention away from the toxicity of his relationships, but focusing on the raw purity of his doubts.
Human beings are fallible and fallacious: behind every action there is a reason, behind every secret and every fear there is a story… that deserves to be explored.”

Born on 21 July 1994 and raised in Naples, among the masterpieces of Burton, Spielberg and Tarantino, he studied “Cinema, Photography and Television” at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. As he grew up he deepened his cinematographic studies, remaining fascinated by the poetics of Refn and Kevin Smith, and then began to practice on national and international film sets. As a director, in addition to “Un bacio di troppo”, he worked on the following short films: – The Magic Crown, available worldwide on Indieflix and AppleTV; – Film d’amore e di verità, available on WeShort; – Un cuore per un cuore, made as part of the Rome 48h Film Project; – Una storia oscura, arriving in May 2023.
